    I figured it out, it was the ‘construction material’ stockpiles from DS, it was drawing in the venders from the trading post, and as soon as any amount over 10 hit the pile (it was okay with just 10) the game crashed. After I removed those stockpiles, I watched where the trader went and it was straight for the little storehouses near the log cabins, and from there the salt cabin and sauerkraut farmers came and got it. Even amounts of 50 and 100 salt went straight from the trading dock to these storehouses. I removed all the DS specialty stockpiles so hopefully salt won’t get stuck somewhere else in the system. Now to see if sugar works okay next time a trader offers it for sale, which has only been once twice in 50 years so far, a very rare commodity!

    I thought so about the gender fluid animals lol, that is why I was so surprised. I always have a herdsman tending each group of animals full time, including these suicidal asexual cattle, really strange to watch them die out like that, a bit creepy haha. At least the new milk cows are producing like crazy.

    My cattle stopped reproducing, in my small herd of 8. Then after a few years one would die each year until they were all gone, which was okay as I bought the black and white milk cows from the trader and they make a lot more milk lol. Do the animals have a gender and was I just unlucky that eventually all my cattle were only one gender? I’ve never seen that happen before in a game, maybe this is a Banished general thing?

    Ah that makes sense, especially as the last time it crashed I was really watching the vendor and just as he approached a stock pile the game crashed. It was one of DS’s piles, but a general one that accepts everything, I have all DS mods below North but I guess there is a conflict at least when it comes to salt. If I dismantle all the specialty piles from the mod button, which ones should I use instead from the main toolbar to make sure they accept salt or sugar? Or do you think that there are various salt tags already in my game from other mods, so no guarantee that the North acceptable salt will be the one from the trader?

    Ah good to know about the Smith, I’ll move it back near where any workers can get to it without a long hike lol. I’ve had all the food groups and herbs covered for many years, yet this dip in health lasted about 10 years out of the 40 played so far, it only came back up to 4 hearts in the last year. I have no idea why, but I’m glad it happened at least. I have a network of markets so every house should be getting access, maybe there was just a very long time delay before everything was distributed? I play the game at 1x or 2x, hard to know what I might have missed but I guess it was something.

    Ha of course, I didn’t think of that, I’ve never ever seen them in any game of Banished I’ve played with any mods, so I thought it must be a North thing, maybe currency or ore related. I’m playing North with some EB mods and DS mods also enabled, but not with CC which I’ve still never actually played with. I’m guessing its a DS mod, one of the mining ones maybe. I’ll have to read more of the details and see if any of them offer chests from merchants.

    Edit: I just realized I have enabled kid’s Old Ports and Pirates mod in my North folder, maybe that is where treasure chests come from lol, I haven’t actually played with it before so I’d never seen those.
